Caring for the Environment


For over 100 years we have supplied the best tabletop products available. One reason for our success is that we understand that business is not just about producing great products, but also involves good corporate citizenship. By following this philosophy we have learnt that being a moral citizen is not only productive for society and the environment, but also advantages to our business.

For example, we actively plan our transport on back haul rates thereby minimizing the impact of such on the environment and also reducing costs.

The business climate in which Benders now operates is very different to the one that Benders began trading in over 100 years ago. Environmental legislation now places further responsibility upon the company to care for the environment and behave accordingly.

Benders is committed to producing quality products and contributing to a sustainable global and local environment. As a manufacturer and supplier of disposable products Benders realises that concern for the environment should play an integral and fundamental part of its business.

The Environment Management System is consistent with ISO 14001:2004 standard.

Our Environmental Policy is reviewed annually and endorsed by the Company’s Management Team, who take responsibility for delivery of its objectives as listed below:
