11 Aug BENDERS SUPPLIES ITS EMBOSSED DOUBLE WALL CUPS TO IRELAND’S FINEST
Benders Paper Cups has become an approved supplier of Food Solutions and will be providing the custodian of the Illy coffee brand with its very own embossed paper cups. Ireland’s premiere coffee supplier will now be supplying a custom printed version of Benders’ new Embossed double-walled cup to its coffee to go customers in the café, restaurant and hotel markets across Ireland as it continues to lead on quality and taste.
Food Solutions has always used multi-wall cups when supplying to the HoReCa market as the level of insulation provided by its cups has been a key element of its offering over the years. Having extensively trialled the Benders Embossed double-walled cup, the coffee company is confident the Embossed Cup is the best for retaining the heat of the beverage while allowing the consumer to carry the cup for the maximum period of time without any discomfort.
Managing director and founder of Food Solutions, Patrick Sands explains: “We’ve previously favoured a simple ripple cup to maximise the hold and go element but Benders Embossed double-walled cup with its eye-catching ‘swirl’ design, allows us to emphasise our branding while exceeding the expected standard of comfort for the person carrying the drink.
“We have been aware of Benders’ reputation for the supply of high-end products for some time and we have kept an eye on all their new products as they have come to market. The new EmbossedCup is the perfect match for us and comes in at the right price point.”
The new contract to supply is timely as it comes on the heels of the leading paper cup company’s announcement that its Chain of Custody certification under both Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is in place and all virgin paperboard used to make Benders’ cups comes from sustainably managed forestry.
Patrick continues: “Benders’ accreditations were another factor in our decision to commit to them as a supplier. The UK manufacturing and traceability of the raw materials used to make the cups is key as our customers have CSR policies to adhere to and the majority are keen to champion environmental issues. We have also been impressed by Benders’ investment in new tooling and machinery which demonstrates a further commitment to both its products and its customers.”
